Chase Davidson, DC, CSCS

Growing up in a small coal-mining town in Washington state, raised by my mother and grandparents, I always knew that I was destined to help people with their health. I wanted people to be able to realize their potential and that they have the power to take their physical, mental, and spiritual health into their own hands.

Academics were never a problem for me throughout high school and undergrad but I experienced massive bouts of depression, self-doubt, and self-loathing. To distract me, I spent my time doing extra schoolwork and eventually found myself so drawn to human anatomy and physiology that I decided to become a chiropractor (not knowing that I had actually gone to a chiropractor for most of my childhood).

Once in chiropractic school, I pursued an atypical specialty in chiropractic, known as Functional Neurology, which applies clinical neuroscience to help those with neurological issues like the concussions I had sustained while playing soccer and snowboarding throughout my life. It was only after beginning the postdoctoral work that I came to the realization that those concussions were a large driving force for the mental health issues that plagued me in my youth and that can return if I do not keep up with the self-care strategies that I learned over my career.

All that said, many sacrifices were made to complete the post-doctorate requirements before graduating, but it all paid off as before I graduated I was nominated 2019’s “Student of the Year” by the International Association of Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation (IAFNR) and had the chance to intern at one of the best Functional Neurology clinics in the nation. Since graduating, I have been able to help thousands of people and earn the title Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist to further my ability to help the athletes I work with to achieve their true potential.

I have dedicated my life not only to becoming a clinician but to become a teacher of health. My partner, Dr. Mullen, and I founded Action Potential to keep true to our vision of administering quality care to patients in a way not many other clinics provide; as well as providing patient education through Action Potential Academy.
